BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION

"The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem".
Oil on copper.
Measurements: 22,5 x 16,5 cm; 27,5 x 21,5 cm (frame).
In this oil on copper, probably intended for private devotion, the author recreates the biblical scene of Jesus triumphantly entering the city of Jerusalem, which is one of the few passages that are narrated in the four gospels. The texts narrate how Jesus, seated on a donkey that had not been ridden by anyone, enters Jerusalem and is acclaimed by the population. In this piece we can appreciate a moment prior to the entrance of the city, since it is located in the background of the scene.
