DESCRIPTION
AGUSTÍN ALMAR, (Valencia, second half of the XIX century). "Horchatero", 1887. Oil on panel. Signed and dated in the lower left corner. Measurements: 32 x 23 cm, 43 x 34 cm (frame). Painter of popular types and costumbrista subjects, Agustín Almar also approached other subjects like the landscape or the portrait. Active in Valencia during the second half of the 19th century, he trained at the Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos, in that city. He is currently represented in the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, among other public and private collections.
