This set of eleven emblematic miniatures of Paris and its surroundings is distinguished by the careful work at the technical level. The largest view represents the Trocadero Palace, a building constructed for the Universal Exposition of 1878. Eclectic in style with Arab and Byzantine influences, it was designed by Davioud and Bourdais and housed the Museum of French Monuments and the first Parisian museum of ethnography, precursor of today's Museum of Man. The other views show the Temple of the Madeleine, the Palais du Champ de Mars, the Tour Saint-Jacques, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, the Arc de Triomphe, the Place Vendôme and Notre Dame, among others.
