BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
Italian school of the 19th century. After RAFAEL SANZIO (Urbino, 1483 - Rome, 1520).
"Portrait of Cesare Borgia (1475-1507)".
Oil on canvas.
With label on the back.
Measurements: 28 x 22 cm; 38 x 31,5 x 4 cm (frame).
The one we now present is a portrait made according to the original by Raphael in which he represents Cesare Borgia, a very powerful and controversial figure of the Italian Renaissance, son of Pope Alexander VI. However, it is worth noting that the attribution to Cesare Borgia is not universally accepted by all art historians.
