DESCRIPTION
FRANCISCO LLOP MARQUÈS (Campredó, Tarragona, 1873 - Barcelona, 1970).

Francisco Llop was formed in the Ateneo Obrero of Barcelona, where the figure of Nicanor Vázquez will exert a notable influence in his career. Between 1901 and 1912 he was in Mexico, where he worked with a restorer and collaborated in different art magazines. He then traveled to Paris, where he came into contact with many different artistic currents. Later he returned to Catalonia, and between the twenties and thirties he made numerous exhibitions and took part in competitions and official exhibitions, such as the Universal Exhibition of 1928 or the International Exhibition of Fine Arts in Barcelona in 1944. He is currently represented in the MACBA, as well as in various private collections.
