Small landscape resolved with loose and vibrant brushstrokes, characteristic of the pictorial language of Eliseu Meifrén. The work reflects the artist's interest in the direct capture of nature and the changing effects of light, features that place him among the main representatives of Catalan impressionism.
Eliseo Meifrén i Roig was trained at the Llotja School in Barcelona and furthered his studies in Paris, where he came into contact with the modern currents of European painting.
He exhibited regularly at the Sala Parés in Barcelona and participated in numerous national and international competitions. His work is preserved in important institutions such as the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), the Museo del Prado, the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, as well as in numerous public and private collections.
