Painter of landscapes, portraits and genre scenes, brother of the sculptor Josep, Antoni Reynés developed his career in Barcelona between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, making his work known in collective exhibitions in such outstanding halls as the Parés (1878, 1879). Among his best known works is the portrait of Pau Claris, from 1880. He is currently represented in the Reial Acadèmia de Bones Lletres de Barcelona, as well as in various private collections.
