Sofia Costanza Brigida Villani Scicolone is an Italian actress, with more than 70 years of career, is one of the last surviving stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema. Encouraged to enroll in acting classes after entering a beauty pageant, Loren began her film career at the age of 16 in 1950. She appeared in several supporting roles early in the decade, until her five-picture contract with Paramount in 1956 launched her international career. His films of that era include Pride and Passion, Houseboat and It Started in Naples. In the 1950s she starred in films in which she was sexually emancipated and was one of the best-known sex symbols of the era.
