Francesc d'Assís Casademont has been one of those artists capable of creating an own and unmistakable style. He was able to transfer to his painting the same tranquility, sweetness and warmth that he always showed as a person. Considered a master of color, and a great landscape painter, his work began to be known thirty years ago, also the time when he discovered the island of Mallorca, since then a recurring theme in his painting. His work focuses on the reinvention of the landscape through chromatic subtlety, luminous and subjective atmosphere and light brushstrokes. In 1962 he held his first solo exhibition in Barcelona, and since then he has shown his work in galleries around the world, in cities such as Madrid, Vienna, Paris, Mallorca, Bilbao, Washington, Rome, Zurich and Miami, among others. He was also a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Barcelona, and in 1994 he was decorated with the Cross of Sant Jordi. He is currently represented at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, the National Museum of Graz in Puerto Rico and the Musée d'Etampes in Paris, among others.
