Nineteenth century painting of Spanish school and folklorist tradition, very popular in the nineteenth century. The portrayed young woman is in profile, although she turns her face directing an inquisitive look to the spectator, which intensifies with a slight tight smile. The gesture of the face shows the artist's interest in capturing a captivating personality that, added to the folkloristic clothing, configures the archetype of the Spanish woman of the 19th century.
