Painter of self-taught formation, Antonio Pineda moved with his family to Barcelona during the first years of his childhood. Dedicated from a very young age to painting, he combined this activity with other occupations until 1988, when Pineda decided to dedicate himself professionally to what until then had only been a hobby. He soon became known in Barcelona, with his participation in group exhibitions and art contests. Since 1977 he has held numerous solo exhibitions, both in Barcelona (El Nus, Madey, Bertrán, etc.) and in Madrid (Espalter, 1991), Mallorca (Roch Minué, Nadal, etc.), Pollença (Bennàssar, 1989) and other cities. He also holds regular solo exhibitions at the Aida Gallery in Terrassa. Pineda has also shown his work abroad, in cities such as Zurich, Geneva, Paris, Las Vegas, San Diego and New York. His painting, colorful and temperamental, is basically about nature and the environment, themes that the painter knows how to evoke with his brushes with such mastery that he has become one of the best Spanish landscape painters.
