Painter and engraver trained at the Massana School and at the Contemporary Art Center of Geneva, throughout his career as an artist Carlos L. Nogueira has devoted himself to illustration, dealing with the theme of gastronomy, as well as the realization of scenes starring popular characters. Since 1976 Nogueira has exhibited in numerous galleries of the Catalan scene, even crossing national borders and exhibiting in countries such as Belgium and Germany. Bullfighting themes have been a constant in the Spanish pictorial school, from Goya to Sorolla or Picasso. These great artists appreciated the primitive atmosphere of bullfights, as well as the possibility of reflecting animals and men immersed in a violent struggle.
