Leonard Beard is a painter and illustrator. Of English origin, he left his country early. After living for a long period in Barcelona, he settled in the Empordà. With a concise aesthetic, the plastic force of his creations, full of color and imagination, mixes mystery, irony and a certain poetics of the absurd. Leonard is an illustrator of posters, books, magazines, opinion articles and creator of satirical drawings that he has published in the pages of El Periódico de Catalunya. His work has also been exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions in Barcelona (Sala Parés) and in other cities in Spain, USA, Italy, Greece and Japan. As an illustrator, he has also worked for these publishers and press: Guardian Weekend Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Commercial Observer, Dominical, Courrier International, Dallas magazine, Atlanta magazine, Northeastern Lawyers magazine, PME magazine, Arnold, IESEinsight magazine, Quaderns Crema, Acantilado, Sembra Libres, Ara Llibres, Blackie Books, Editorial Cruïlla, Librooks.
