Painter and set designer, Oleguer Junyent was formed between Barcelona and Paris, and at the age of fifteen he began to collaborate as set designer with the Gran Teatro del Liceo of Barcelona, for which he would realize scenographies like "The twilight of the gods", of Wagner; "Louise", of Charpentier; and "The brief life", of Falla. He also published drawings in "L'Esquella de la Torratxa". In these years he visited Paris, where he had Cartezat as a teacher. In 1923 he collaborated in the organization of the Furniture and Decoration Exhibition in Barcelona, and also took part in the International Exhibition of 1929. He was also president of the Artistic Circle of Barcelona (1925). During these years he moved away from the theater and devoted himself to decorative and easel painting, and in 1930 he won the competition "Barcelona seen by its artists". He is currently represented in the MACBA and the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, among others, as well as in various private collections.
