Luis García Ochoa manifests his most powerful pictorial expressionism, of great visual and aesthetic charge. The color serves to give corporeal depth to the work, achieving a powerful chromatic game where the landscape is barely outlined.
An outstanding painter and graphic artist, Luis García Ochoa belonged to the so-called Madrid School. He began his training at the School of Architecture and Fine Arts in Madrid, and extended it with scholarships from the French Government, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education and the Juan March Foundation. A full member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, he has received awards such as the Gran Premio del Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián, the Dirección General de Bellas Artes Engraving Award and the Biennial of Alexandria, among others. He is currently represented at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao and the Fundación Juan March.
