Disciple of Ángel Andrade, Félix Mestres and Vicente Climent, Batalla occupies a place within the classicist current of the Catalan painting of the first half of the 20th century. His work included landscape, marine, still life and portrait, characterized in all genres by chromatic sensitivity and plastic sensuality. He had multiple exhibitions in various galleries in Barcelona, and is currently represented in the Museum of Modern Art of Tarragona, as well as in the UEE Collection.
