BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
VALERIA PESCE (Sardinia, Italy, 1963).
Untitled.
Oil and acrylic on canvas.
Measurements: 73 x 116 cm; 90 x 132 cm (frame).
Valeria Pesce studied graphic design in Cagliari and New York, residing later in Milan and moving in 1991 in Barcelona, where she currently lives and works. Self-taught, she mainly uses oil and acrylic. She focuses her interest on the body in osmosis with water, where colors are the vectors of emotions and feelings. His figures float in a liquid sky without gravity, following archaic and intuitive movements. The fish as light and silent points of color, fleeting as thoughts and life itself. A realistic and dreamlike figuration at the same time, where nothing is the same as a second ago, everything flows and transforms. He has exhibited in Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Slovenia. Among his latest exhibitions, we mention: "Sirenes" Espai B, Barcelona, 2013; "Nel Sogno dei Pesci" Ayurveda center, Cagliari, 2013; "Collettiva scollegata" studio Ricetto, Cagliari, 2011; "Horror Vacui" collective, Montcada Gallery, Barcelona, 2010; "Maçart 13" cross-border art collective; "Cogito ergo sumo" Galleria Spazio P, Cagliari, 2009; "Pesci qua e là" Galleria Spazio P, Cagliari; "Artita 08", Pirano, Slovenia, 2008; "Piscis" Anaconda Atelier, Paris, 2007; "Severia Art Gallery" Koper, Slovenia, 2006; Künstler Saarmesse, Saarbrucken, Germany, 2006; Galleria Borgogno, Milan.
