Although much of Osmund Hansen's production focused on landscapes, seascapes and genre scenes, he also engaged in abstraction (even in its geometric aspect). His paintings from this period are defined by a more colorful and expressive approach, as well as a more gestural stroke. Trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, he exhibited regularly in Denmark and was an active artist throughout the 20th century. His work is currently in several public and private collections in Denmark.
