Jesper Knudsen's language is framed within the neo-expressionist or "Art Brut" style, although in a more accessible and colorful way. He is known for his bold and expressive use of color, applying paint generously and gesturally. His palettes are, as we see here, bright and contrasting. He is considered by critics to be one of the contemporary Scandinavian painters with the most international potential.
