DESCRIPTION
MANUEL RICART SERRA (Barcelona, 1913 - 2014).

Signed in the lower right corner.
Measurements: 33 x 48 cm; 57 x 73 cm (frame).
Ricart Serra trained with his father, Manuel Ricart Hostench, and at the La Lonja School in Barcelona. He participated in various activities of the Círculo Artístico and the Círculo de Sant Lluc, and produced numerous advertising works, as well as posters and illustrations. In 1933 he was awarded the silver medal in the Josep Masriera competition of the Sant Jordi Academy of Fine Arts. His awards include the Masía Catalana Special Prize (1934) and the Villa de Palamós Prize (1974). He is represented in the Royal Academy of Sant Jordi in Barcelona, as well as in various private collections.
