De Chirico's metaphysical painting and children's construction games with wooden pieces seem to go hand in hand in Jordi Pintó's magical scenarios. His lineage is evidenced with that sense of timelessness and languor that De Chirico also communicated with his urban views.
A painter based in Barcelona, with a degree in Fine Arts specializing in painting and engraving, Jordi Pintó has also studied design and philosophy. In 2000 he held his first major solo exhibition, which took place at the Jordi Barnadas gallery in Barcelona. Since then he has held personal exhibitions throughout Catalonia, has participated in numerous national art fairs and also in those of Milan, Strasbourg and Geneva, and has won several awards in competitions in Catalonia, Madrid and other communities. He has participated in group exhibitions held in Spain, Germany and the United States. He is currently represented in the Col-lecció Testimoni of La Caixa, the University of Barcelona, the Fundació Banc de Sabadell, the City Council of Cardona, the Fundació Vila Casas and the Bassat Museum in Mataró.
