Núria Llimona studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, and after the war she began her career, combining painting with teaching at the same school. She made her individual debut in the Barcelona gallery Syra, and later held others in the Nonell and Parés galleries in the same city, as well as participating in various group exhibitions. She also took part in official exhibitions, being awarded several prizes, and was president of the Salón Femenino de Arte Actual in its IX and X editions. In 2000, Núria Llimona received the Cross of Sant Jordi, and in 2006 she was awarded the Medal of Honor of Barcelona. She is currently represented in the Museums of Contemporary Art in Madrid and Barcelona.
