Painter, engraver and draftsman, Antoni Mut Torroja was formed in the School of La Lonja of Barcelona. He made his individual debut in 1940 at the Faianç Català, where he exhibited a long series of humorous drawings and watercolors. Between 1947 and 1952 he lived in Paris, where he collaborated with the Hervè gallery in Montmartre. During these years he held exhibitions in Reims, Lyon, Toulouse, Nice, Antwerp and Brussels, as well as in the French capital. On his return to Barcelona he unveiled a new stage of his work at the Grifé and Escoda gallery, where he exhibited a series of Parisian landscapes.
