DESCRIPTION
JOAQUÍN ASENSIO MARINÉ (Barcelona, 1890 - 1961).

It has slight damage to the frame.
Measurements: 56 x 48 cm; 72 x 63 cm (frame).
Self-taught painter, he exhibited individually in the main Barcelona galleries, such as the Pallarés Galleries and the Rovira and Argos galleries, among others. He also showed his work in Madrid, Bilbao, León, Santander and Valencia and, abroad, in Buenos Aires, Denmark and Oporto. He took part in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1944, as well as in those of Barcelona (1944) and Badalona (1951), obtaining several medals. He develops within realism, with certain influences of Eliseo Meifrén and Joaquín Mir. His favorite themes are landscapes, although he also dealt with still life, interiors and figures. He has works in various private collections.
