Martín Ballesteros began his education under the guidance of the artist José Manuel Rozas. Although at first he dedicated himself to photography, in 1995 he began his incursion into painting, exhibiting his work at the San Telmo Museum (San Sebastian) a year later. Ballesteros' work is defined by the multiplicity of artistic disciplines, having worked with painting, photography and design. Always close to a language of figurative aesthetics where realism is defined by technical quality. In 1999 and 2000, he was awarded in the BMW Painting Prize with the Medal of Honor, in its XIV and XV edition.
