A painter whose language is halfway between figuration and abstraction, García Ávila uses a personal language based on luminous colors, the juxtaposition of simple geometric planes of Cézannian heritage and spatial suggestion. His is a palette rich in nuances, very elaborate, applied with a changing brushstroke of informalist filiation. He is currently represented mainly in private collections.
