Joanpere Massana is a plastic artist graduated in Fine Arts, specializing in Sculpture, by the Faculty of Fine Arts "Sant Jordi" of Barcelona. His work includes painting, sculpture, installations, drawings, prints and video installations. He currently teaches sculpture at the Escola Superior d'Art i Disseny Ondara, in Tàrrega. His work is inspired and originates from books, with titles such as "El llibre dels jocs" (The book of games), "Un llibre per Jana" (A book for Jana) or "Il llibre dell'acqua" (The book of water). His work is part of important European collections, with a notable presence in Italy. He stands out for having been the first artist to have a solo exhibition at the Palazzo delle Arti Napoli (2007). His work can be found in the Morera Museum in Lleida or in the Vila Casas Foundation in Barcelona, as well as in the Lluis Bassat collection.
