BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
ALBERT VIDAL MORENO (Barcelona, 1969).
"Station".
Oil on panel.
Signed in the lower left corner.
Measurements: 122 x 146 cm; 138 x 160 cm (frame).
Albert practices a figurative painting, almost hyperrealistic at times, as can be seen in this urban station. His concern is formalist, he investigates the color, the brushstroke, the effect on the viewer.
Albert Vidal studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona, graduating in 1992. Later he attended a seminar on Sensology and Pictorial Creativity given by Dr. Carles Bayod at the same university (1990), and somewhat later, between 1994 and 1995, he completed his studies with a monographic course in engraving at the School of Arts and Crafts in Olot. In 1989 he made his debut in the Sala Parés Young Painting Award, winning the extraordinary prize (in 1999 he will obtain the first prize), and in 1991 he will make his individual debut in Molins de Rei. Since then he has held personal exhibitions in several Spanish capitals, as well as in Tokyo and Paris, and has taken part in group exhibitions, fairs and competitions in Spain, Japan, France and the United States. He has received the Graphic Work Award from the Fundació Enciclopèdia Catalana (2004), among other awards.
