Jordi Rollán was formed in Barcelona, extended his formation in Europe and made his individual debut in 1966 in the Jaimes room in Barcelona. Since then he has held exhibitions in Spain, the United States, France, Germany and Tangiers, among other countries. One of his most notable exhibitions is the one held in 2006 at the Artis gallery in Zug (Switzerland), which under the title "Great Catalan Masters" brought together works by Rollán and Salvador Dalí. Rollán has won several awards throughout his career, especially the R. Cendrós and Barceló prizes for young painters from the Sala Parés, the Rodés prize from the Real Círculo Artístico, the First Prize from the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc, the Kreisler prize for small format and the First Prize for Painting in Mahón. In 1970 he participates in several group exhibitions in the United States, and makes a series of lithographs for an American publisher. Since 1978 he has worked for several commercial firms.
