The abstraction of Eduardo Arbós is characterized by a structured minimalism, as we observe in this work. On an off-white background, the geometric cuts in black appear almost as interruptions or incisions in space. His compositions suggest a language between the architectural and the poetic: the visual cutouts are arranged with precision, evoking planes, shadows or windows open to another dimension. The work breathes silence, but at the same time vibrates in tension thanks to the contrast between the serenity of the light background and the rotundity of the black forms.

Eduard Arbós, born and educated in Barcelona, has devoted himself throughout his career to art in a multidisciplinary sense, working with equal interest in painting, almost always from an abstract, conceptual point of view, photography, sculpture and installation art. His first exhibitions took place in the eighties, participating, for example, in the VII Biennial of Painting of the Fundació La Caixa, in Barcelona, and since then he has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. It is worth mentioning his collaboration with the Alejandro Sales Gallery, his participation in various editions of the ARCO fair, in ARTE LISBOA and others. His work is preserved in important collections, such as the Testimonio Collection of La Caixa, the Caja Madrid Collection, the Fran Daurel Private Cultural Foundation Collection, the Chirivella Soriano of Valencia, the Centro de Arte Caja de Burgos or the Otten Kunst Raum of Austria.
