DESCRIPTION
RAMÓN PICHOT SOLER (Figueras, Girona, 1924 - Barcelona, 1996).

Son of Ricardo Pichot Soler, Ramón Pichot began to paint at the age of sixteen. From 1939 he will exhibit individually in Barcelona, and also in Madrid, Bilbao, San Sebastian and other cities of the Spanish geography. He also participated in the Municipal Exhibitions of Barcelona in 1951 and 1953. Highly sought after in the United States, he held personal exhibitions in Palm Beach and New York in 1968, 1970 and 1973. He worked both the portrait and the figure, especially the female, within academic canons and a certain influence of Renoir. In 2007 a large exhibition of his work was dedicated to him at the Girona Museum of Art, entitled "Fragments of life". Ramón Pichot Soler is currently represented at MACBA.
