HORACIO SILVA SEBASTIÁN, (Valencia, 1950).
"Interior", 1971.
Acrylic on canvas.

Measurements: 81 x 100 cm.
Painter and professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Horacio Silva finished his studies of Fine Arts at the end of the sixties, and begins in that year his first stage, marked by the magic realism. Already in the eighties he delves into expressionism, with influences of the interwar avant-garde, and around 1985 he enters into material figuration. In the second half of the nineties he focused on what he calls interior landscapes, leaving room for figuration, and from 1999 to the present day he has focused on his "Travelogues", which combine symbols and narration. Throughout his career, Silva has held numerous exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and is currently represented in the Museums of Ibiza and Seville, the City of Valencia, Santa Barbara in Calabria, Villafamés, Rotterdam in Holland, Campione d'Italia in Milan, the Salvador Allende Residence in Chile, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Elche and the IVAM in Valencia.
