BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
ALBERTO AGULLÓ (Elche, Alicante, 1931)
"Still life".
Oil on canvas.
Signed on the front and back.
Measurements; 117 x 89 cm.
Alberto Agulló began working as an apprentice in a carpentry workshop at the age of fourteen, where he learned to carve wood. Later he began to dedicate himself to painting, making commercial paintings under the pseudonym "Serralta". During this period of about a decade he worked in parallel on more personal works, destined for the subway museum of his friend Manuel Delgado "Mané". In the sixties he was part of the Grup d'Elx, one of the most important of the post-war Valencian avant-garde. Today Agulló is considered one of the key names in contemporary art in Elche.
