During the XX century the Basque school lived a splendor and a resurgence of the aesthetic forms. Thus becoming a center of great artistic interest thanks to the development of painting and sculpture. Starting from the idiosyncrasy of the popular culture of the Basque Country, the artists reformulated the traditional concepts and themes providing a new image, but with a great symbolic load linked to the land and tradition.
