Luis Massoni, is a renowned Spanish figurative painter, especially noted for his work as a portraitist. From a very young age he showed a talent for drawing, influenced by his great-uncle, the painter Manuel Benedito. Throughout his career, he has developed a very personal realistic style, avoiding photography to always paint from life, seeking to capture not only the appearance, but also the soul of his models.

Although he is known primarily for his portraits, Massoni has explored other genres such as landscapes, interiors and still lifes, often with a lyrical tone close to magical realism. In 2024, the National Museum of Ceramics in Valencia dedicated a large anthological exhibition to him with more than 130 works, many of them unpublished. His art, alien to fashions and commercialism, is a testimony of fidelity to an intimate and committed vision of beauty and life.
