Self-taught painter with a degree in Philosophy from the Universities of Paris and Barcelona, Claret has exhibited in Tokyo, London, Florida, New York and several cities in Spain. He has also exhibited with the groups 0 Figura, Modern Spanish Painting and Seven Catalonian Artists. He has the first prize Joan Miró of drawing (1962). Joan Claret has works in the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art in Cuenca and in the Juan March Foundation, as well as in important private collections.
