His works have been exhibited in several Spanish cities, and in France, Portugal and Argentina, among other countries. Illana has received throughout his career awards such as the Honorable Mention of the Sixth Annual Jury Award Art Exhibit, the French Ministry of Culture Studies Award, the first prize of Painting Circle Maillol, and other awards from the Internationales Kultur und Austauschzentrum and the Biennial of Painting City of Terrassa (Barcelona).
