DESCRIPTION
JORDI MERCADÉ FARRÉS (Barcelona, 1923 - 2005).
"Night landscape".

Signed in the lower right corner.
Measurements: 34 x 46 cm; 50 x 63 cm (frame).
Born in Madrid, Luis Moret lived most of his life between Mexico and Catalonia. During his youth he worked as a sailor, until 1955, when he settled in Veracruz and decided to devote himself to painting. He worked for a time with Siqueiros, and lived for years in Cuernavaca with American abstract expressionists. In 1968 he returned to Spain and settled in Tarragona, but returned to Mexico in 1986. He finally returned definitively to Spain in 1994. In 2010, a year after his death, a tribute exhibition was dedicated to him at the Centro Cultural El Tecolote in Tijuana.
