Francisco Torres Matas was born in Malaga in 1945. The artistic vocation of this Malaga-born artist, who became a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Telmo in 1979 and currently holds the position of first vice-president, appeared at a very early age and had to overcome many difficulties to make his way in the plastic panorama until he became one of the maximum representatives of Malaga figuration.
