DESCRIPTION
ANTONIO CARRILERO, (La Roda, Albacete, 1936).

Painter predominantly of landscape themes and considered as a great expressionist in the Castilian way, is formed in the field of drawing and composition in a private academy being his first teacher Juan García Castillo. His first exhibition took place in his hometown in 1966, winning the "Teodoro Baca" award (1975), later exhibiting in Valencia, Zaragoza, Granada, Madrid and various Spanish cities. Friend, and to a certain extent, disciple of Benjamín Palencia (1894-1980), he was part of the "Tierra Blanca" Group, spiritually directed by the great painter. After this stage of clear influence of Benjamin Palencia, he finds his pictorial personality within a luminous palette and a careful composition. In 1991 he exhibits in Valencia and Madrid.
