This painting represents Calsina in one of his most characteristic registers: an intimate still life, of great emotional containment, where a simple motif becomes a profound visual experience. It is a work that summarizes well his contribution: painting the everyday as a space for reflection and stillness, with an honest, sensitive and timeless language.
Calsina is represented in several Spanish museums, as well as in important private collections. In 2009 the Ramón Calsina Foundation was created, promoted by his heirs.
