This painting represents Artigau in one of his most recognizable moments: a poetic figuration, built with economy of means, where the everyday is transformed into a symbolic scene, and where color and drawing act as true narrative protagonists.
The predominance of intense blue, contrasted with reds, yellows and whites, is characteristic of Artigau. Color does not describe reality, but organizes the emotional space: the absence of realistic depth reinforces the mental or remembered character of the scene.
Artigau is represented in the Museums of Contemporary Art in Madrid and Seville, and in the MACBA in Barcelona.
