Painter and draftsman, Guillermo Pfaff finished his artistic studies in 1999, and that same year he held his first exhibition. Between 2002 and 2005 he left Spain to live in cities like Paris and Berlin, and upon his return to Barcelona in 2006 he began working at the Center for Production and Research of Visual Arts HANGAR, and became involved with the Association of Visual Artists of Catalonia. Today he lives and works between Barcelona and Madrid. Pfaff has held exhibitions in Spain and abroad, the most recent being the solo project at the Yokohama Art Triennial (Japan) in 2011. In his work the artist seeks the essential geometry of the world, working from a point of view close to abstraction, although he does not renounce the figurative quotation.
