In this painting, brimming with sensuality, Mas combines references to the figurative tradition with decorative and dreamlike elements, giving rise to an image suspended between the intimate and the evocative, a distinctive feature of his production since the nineties.

Trained at the School of Arts and Crafts and the School of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi, both in Barcelona, he began his career in 1957, joining the group of cartoonists of the Selecciones Ilustradas agency. During the sixties he worked for important American publishers such as Warren, but after his stay in Caracas, where he lived from 1975 to 1979, he decided to devote himself exclusively to painting. Throughout his long career, Mas has shown his work in Europe, the United States, Venezuela, Russia and Japan.
