This work is a clear exponent of the artistic language of Esteban Lisa, a pioneer of abstraction in Latin America and Spain. Influenced by Orphic Cubism, Lisa energizes the composition by combining geometric structures with vibrant lines and dots, creating a visual rhythm that evokes both harmony and dynamism. This movement, heir to Cubism, brought to his work a sensitivity to color and light as fundamental elements in constructing abstract space.
Esteban Lisa, born in Spain and settled in Argentina, developed most of his career away from the commercial circuit, devoting himself to teaching and artistic reflection through his School of Modern Art "Las Cuatro Dimensiones", founded in Buenos Aires in 1955. His work, although little disseminated during his lifetime, has been recognized post mortem and is in important collections and museums, including the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires and the Fortabat Collection. Lisa combined scientific and philosophical influences in his work with a constant search for a pure and luminous abstraction, which today places him as a key figure in the understanding of abstraction in the Latin American field.
