Derk Maandag was a Dutch artist whose work reflects a great versatility and pictorial sensitivity. Trained for five years in the workshop of the renowned painter Gerard Jacobs, Maandag mastered various techniques such as painting, drawing, watercolor and ink drawing. His inspiration sailed between vibrant seascapes, lively landscapes and abstract compositions, masterfully combining realism and abstraction to create a unique and captivating visual language.
