The painting reveals a clear filiation with the naturalistic landscape tradition developed in Europe during the XIX century and prolonged in the beginnings of the XX century. The artist is especially interested in the capture of light and the chromatic vibration of the foliage, using a loose and dynamic brushstroke that suggests the movement of the vegetation and the variability of natural light. The green and yellow masses are arranged in broad planes of color that structure the composition and generate harmonious hallmarks between shaded and illuminated areas. The treatment of the water, which partially reflects the foliage and surrounding structures, reinforces the sense of stillness and balance that characterizes the scene.
The theme responds to the tradition of the contemplative landscape, in which nature appears as a space of serenity and harmony. The absence of human figures reinforces the introspective dimension of the scene, allowing the viewer to concentrate on the visual experience of the natural environment. The small bridge, an architectural element discreetly integrated into the landscape, introduces a reference to human presence without altering the silent and balanced character of the composition.
