The style reveals a strong expressionist imprint. The brushstroke is dense, almost tactile, built on fillings that fragment the form and dissolve the contours in favor of a chromatic vibration. The colors, far from faithfully imitating nature, reinterpret it: intense greens, deep blues and fiery ochers articulate the space with an emotional rather than an optical logic. This chromatic freedom, together with the subtle deformation of the relief, brings the work closer to certain post-impressionist and neo-expressionist currents that influenced Spanish painting at the time.
The work reveals the tradition of the Spanish school of the late twentieth century, a time when landscape painting recovers vigor from a contemporary perspective, far from academic naturalism but still deeply linked to the territory.
