Father and teacher of the engraver Antoni Gelabert Casas, was a painter, lithographer and pedagogue of Menorcan descent. He was a teacher at the Jesuit school of Sarrià, in Barcelona, and director of the school Les Arts. As an artist, he became known through the official exhibitions held in Barcelona, including the 1923 exhibition at the Palau de la Indústria. He specialized in the landscape genre.
