The work of the artist Romero Britto is inscribed in a visual language clearly recognizable within contemporary art for its decorative, optimistic character and strong chromatic impact. In this composition, the artist develops a stylized figurative scene in which two characters are represented by simplified forms, thick contours and a fragmentation of space into geometric planes. The intensive use of color, with saturated ranges of reds, yellows, blues and pinks, along with repetitive patterns, stars and decorative elements, responds to an aesthetic close to pop art and commercial art, where the image seeks immediate accessibility for the viewer.
Romero Britto develops a colorful expressive language, through which he creates compositions and themes of pop influence, focused on making visible the different racial and socioeconomic hallmarks. His paintings of great vivacity and aesthetics, have served him to work with recognized brands such as Apple, Pepsi, Absolut Vodka or Disney World, in the realization of artistic designs. Absolut Vodka commissioned the Brazilian artist to create an artistic design with the name of the renowned brand. This event enrolled Britto in the list of notable artists together with A. Warhol, Ed Ruscha or K. Haring, also recognized for the famous vodka campaign. In addition, some celebrities such as Shakira, Bono, Bill Clinton or Julio Iglesias, have chosen him to be the architect of their portraits reinterpreted by the neo-pop artist. Today, Romero Britto is represented in galleries and museums on five continents, the Carrousel du Louvre, Opera Gallery NY, Museo Reina Sofia, The British Museum, The Saatchi Gallery, Sichuan Lu Xun Museum of Fine Arts.
